Growth
Fresh, new beginning
Promised life. While apathy
Crushed all that was left
My final post for the Five Photos, Five Stories challenge. This is my Day 5 photo, “Spring Equinox Sprout”, with its accompanying haiku. Here’s a peek at 1-4:
Day 1 “Anxiety”
Day 2 “Radiant”
Day 3 “Fragile”
Day 4 “Summer”
Thanks again, Norah. This was a fun week of photos and poems.
The “rules” of the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge are:
1) Post a photo each day for five consecutive days.
2) Attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or a short paragraph. It’s entirely up to the individual.
3) Nominate another blogger to carry on the challenge. Your nominee is free to accept or decline the invitation. Just have fun.
That’s a beautiful photo accompanied by beautiful, if sad, words, Sarah. What a shame apathy so often crushes the promises and potential of what could be.

Thank you. I love that photo and didn’t intend for the haiku to turn so sad but I agree — apathy does indeed destroy potential. And it’s too prevalent.

Growth defies apathy. And we never stop growing unless we chose to! Enjoyed your series!

Ah. True. If you think of “growth” as a choice to better yourself, you cannot be apathetic.
Thank you. It was a fun series to put together. 🙂

I really enjoyed this series. Your response to the challenge was very creative and the results are beautiful. I have to think up something unique as well, as I have yet to respond to this challenge.

Thank you. I really enjoyed this challenge. Getting to share some of these photos I’ve had and matching them with words… It’s been a wonderful experience. I know you’ll come up with something great and I look forward to it.
