I fear I’ll go mad
Long before they find a guide
For me, I am lost
~~~
I turn to face him,
This mad guide they have sent me
I will not follow
#53 Prompt: Write a haiku using the words “guide” and “mad”
A double haiku. Lovely. So pleased you decided to not follow the guide to madness. (Most of us can find our way there on our own! – Just kidding!)
This is a wonderful haiku Sarah. I love how you interspersed the words ‘guide’ and ‘mad’ for both parts. Lost, yet will not follow. Fearing going mad, yet sent a mad guide. Love it…
Thank you, Sherri. I wrote them as two separate pieces but they really do work together that way. 🙂
I loved both of these, Sarah! The first is my favorite––it’s a rare combination of sad and funny. Brilliant!
